On Saturday morning, a nice sunshine dragged me out of the bed . As nobody volunteered for the hare , I decided to buy a few pounds of flower and drove to Porte Doree , say hello to ducks and goose still snoring on the lake Daumesnil and I headed my way for a big circle in the woods.
I was delighted to welcome a pack of determined hashers including a visitor from Boulder, Colorado and the most difficult part of the day was to find a parking place.
After giving usual instructions , including a HZ Hash Zen sign to honour the bonze near the budhist pagoda , the walkers led by Just Stupid with Sleeping Sex and our visitor went for a charming promenade around the lake .
The runners led by returning Labib made their way to the lake and crossed the first bridge . They finally lost their sense of orientation on the second bridge where a checkpoint was leading to a cul de sac on the second island.
They left the pagoda and the bronze bonze (not a mistake ) and the jolly couple Labib and little red discovered the autumn charms of the Bois de Vincennes .
Toothie job did a great job at check points , pointing the pack several times in the good direction, apparently more at ease in the woods than our Fennec Labib far from his Tunisian desert.
And after a couple of check points we arrived at a splendid hash view with the famous rocher du zoo de Vincennes and a few flower poofs later the On In sign for the last km to the circle .
Running Commentary poured beer for the hashers , Labib our RA of the day promised he will learn by heart the Hash Hymn book for his next appearance .
Great session concluded by the Hash Hymn.
