Run 838 – Porte d’Auteuil – Hare Speedy- Hash Trash by the Anarchist
July 20, 2013 by Paris Hash House Harriers
It was supposed to be a totally disorganised Live Hare/Live Run with no bouffe and warm beer but it turned into a perfectly nice run laid by our Beer Meister Speedy with cool beer and nice cheese and wine buffet. This is the miracle of the hash ……….
A jolly group of 20 hashers including visitors “Texan asshole massacre” and “She spits”, I let you imagine why they are in couple … plus a virgin Just Robin did show up , probably attracted by the shady alleys of Bois de Boulogne or by the half naked couples sun bathing on the lawn and massaging each other with suntan oil ???
Our Hare gave us proper instructions including a strongly desired Beer stop sign and both walkers and runners took the same direction heading into the wood around the Hippodrome .
Despite the fact the run was laid last night ( Mujito Bonbon was away in Portugal so Speedy had a good excuse to inspect the bushes of Bois de Boulogne at dawn for the perfect trail , avoiding used condoms paved dead ends ) , the flour marks could be seen by our FRBs : Sex tourist, Saving Ryan Privates and your GM .
Enough time to pose for a Hash Flash on a small bridge before attacking the last part of the trail before the Beer Stop near the Lake . Cold beer was greatly appreciated while watching a demonstration of Speedy boats racing on the lake . Joined by the late walkers we decided after a 30mn pause that it was time to finish the trail and get into the circle .
Sparkle , RA of the day took command of the ceremony . We honoured our Hare, Bouffe Meister, Beer Meister eg. Speedy but we punished him later of switching a live Run into a pre-laid trail.
Our virgin of the day Just Robin confessed he was a citizen of the world, a blend of Canada, US, India and now France and you may not believe it, an article in the New York times made him come .
A long list of offences were reported including Speedy tongue shoes ( not ideal for a supposed live !) , caps wearing almost half, and it was time to break the circle .
Collective Hash Hymn closed the celebration .
